Strata Managers liaise with Architects, Surveyors, Solicitors and marketing agents to assist in Property Development from planning to completion. They offer consultancy advice, coordinate meetings, manage the development process and assist with the creation of relevant compliance documentation.
Organising maintenance and repairs
One of the most important roles of Strata Managers is to organise ongoing maintenance and urgent repairs for Common Property. Part of this involves establishing relationships with local contractors and ensuring they’re appropriately licenced and insured to conduct works.
Insurance Renewals and Claims
Strata Managers assist in the process of obtaining insurance renewals, including obtaining quotes and seeking instruction from the Committee. Strata Managers are also heavily involved in the management of insurance claims and acting as an intermediary between the insurer/broker and the Owners Corporation and relevant Lot Owner(s).
Accounting and Financial Management
Strata Managers assist with the accounting and financial management for your Plan including:

Dispute Resolution
From time to time, disputes between occupants may arise. Strata Managers assist and facilitate the dispute resolution process, including lodging applications for mediation, consulting lawyers and representing at Tribunal Hearings.
How to become a Strata Agent in NSW
To become a Strata Agent in NSW, you will need to complete a short course called a Certificate of Registration initially and then progress towards a Strata License. You will also need to complete Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses on an annual basis.
