Short Term Holiday Letting In NSW

The NSW Government has released its Short Term Holiday Letting in NSW options paper.

The NSW Government is reviewing a number of potential options to manage the growth in the short term letting industry and is seeking views and comments on the following areas:

1. Industry self regulation.
2. Strata regulation, including by-laws managing visitor behaviour, by-laws for compensation for adverse effects and by-laws prohibiting short term holiday letting.
3. Planning regulation.
4. Registration to manage safety and amenity issues.

Submissions to NSW Government close 31 October 2017 and the Short Term Letting in NSW options paper can be accessed on the NSW Fair Trading website at www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au
